The Mill Pond Experience explores three popular caves in Merritt’s Mill pond located in Marianna Florida. This DVD won’t just be following divers through a cave, or mounting a video camera atop a scooter. We show the cave from many angles and sequences. It’s information and history about the surrounding area, including footage from these impressive systems! Different than Gainesville caves, Jackson Blue, Twin, and Hole in the Wall feature mostly white limestone, a plethora of fossils, cave salamanders, and plenty of cave to explore. We interviewed experts in the area to see what they have to say about diving these sites.

Eagles Nest

It used to be considered the Mt. Everest of cave dives to many technical divers. Eagles Nest is a deep cave in Florida just north of Tampa. It's remote, over 300ft deep in areas and very unique! This short documentary will take you through the dive from getting to the site, entering the massive cave and the decompression requirements.

Please seek proper guidance if you wish to adventure beyond the daylight! Caves are beautiful environments and Eagles Nest has intrigued divers and will continue do so for years to come.

Inside the Devil

Devils cave system is one of the most visited caves in the world. Its gin clear water, over 23,000 feet of surveyed passage still being explored, and unique geology attracts divers of all experience levels, from all over the globe, to the quaint town of High Springs Florida. They come to penetrate the darkness…explore a tunnel they've never seen, and dive the 72 degree, warm, clear water for hours. We produced this short HD video in March 2008. Cave conditions around Florida weren't ideal but the river that was flooding into Devils Ear provided some unbelievable shots, and we still returned with some beautiful footage from outside, and Inside the Devil.

Know what you're shooting

When you jump into the water to shoot video or stills do you know what you're shooting? I love watching videos and others' work but I'm always plagued by one thought as I watch, There's no storyline. As a photojournalist I'm taught to tell a story through images, I made this video to help give some advice and tips about taking your video to the next level! Hopefully it will help you think about what your shooting, and make a plan the next time you splash.
